Welcome to Edgewood Alliance Church
Church Family PDF Print E-mail

For the past 5 years my family and I have had the pleasure to serve here as your pastor and family. Each year we are blessed by your love and service to us and the Lord. We wanted to take this opportunity to thank each of you for the appreciation you have shown us not only this past Sunday but throughout all of our time here. The cards, letters, special notes, and gifts have shown us once again what the body of Christ looks like in practical application. Each one of you is special to us and we love you very much. You make it a pleasure to serve you and serve alongside you. May God continue to bless you as you obey him and love each other and us.

With all our love,

Pastor Gary, Diane, Jake, Steve and Janna.

"Welcome" from Pastor Gary PDF Print E-mail

Welcome Friend,

I am very pleased that you took the time to visit our web site. It is my goal as pastor of Edgewood Alliance Church to lead a body of believers that are meeting the needs of the people of the church and the people of our community. I think that Ephesians 4:11-13 is a very important passage of scripture that defines my understanding of my task as pastor. It says, "11)It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, 12)to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13)until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ."

Prayer and Praise Time PDF Print E-mail

ministries

As a continued commitment to prayer we will be adding a new opportunity to our weekly schedule. Starting January 8th at 6:00 p.m., we will begin a special Prayer and Praise time each Sunday. This time will be unlike any other meeting or service we currently have. It will be a time for those who have a specific prayer need for themselves to come and share the need, share what God is saying about the need in their personal prayer time and then be prayed with by others. They will then be invited to come back the following week and share what God has done in answer to that prayer request. There will be no prayer sheets, no Bible study, no ongoing requests for others. Each of those things are already provided for at other times. This is a time when we pray only for the person who brings their own request. It is appropriate for everyone in the family including children. This is also available for those outside our church. Sound intriguing? Come and check it out on Sunday Evening January 8th at 6:00 p.m.

Bible Verse of the Day

2 Thessalonians 1:3
“[Thanksgiving and Prayer] We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing.”

Christians - Don't Be Decieved

The best ways to avoid deception are to:

  1. continually rehearse the Bible's teachings ("Is this what I believe?" Psalm 119:11)
  2. continually ask God to search our heart to see if there is any wicked way in it (Psalm 139:23-24)
  3. be accountable to people who love us enough to correct us (Proverbs 27:6)
