What is it?

The Paris Student Project is a multi-faceted ministry endeavor of the C&MA focused on reaching French university students and young professionals with the gospel of Christ. In turn we desire to empower and send these students to impact the city of Paris and the world.

What does it look like?eiffel

Paris is a city of 1 million students. Of these 1,000,000 only 0.6 of 1 percent have a personal relationship with Jesus. As we live and minister in this city, we realize the enormous challenges facing us but are also extremely excited for an opportunity to be a light in one of the areas where the Alliance is Pushing Back the Darkness.

When we use the word “student” or “young adult” we are primarily referring to people between the ages of 18-30.

The ministry currently has 2 facets:

(1) Trinity International Church of Paris owns a center of activity and ministry called “Genesis” located at Chatelet in the heart of Paris. Much of our ministry is located in and flows out of Genesis. There will be regular concerts to engage with musicians and artists in Paris, student gatherings, art exhibits, and other activities focused on connecting with and reaching our community.

(2) The C&MA in France works in partnership with the AECM (the French National Church of the C&MA). We currently have 10 AECM churches in the Paris Region. Our goal is to be a resource to reach, empower, and mobilize the students and young adults involved in these churches. We are currently working with the leaders of the churches to organize student gatherings, run worship leading seminars, and to help organize evangelistic outreach connected with and flowing from these churches.

The Dream for the futurewhite_mosque

1. Our desire is to see Genesis continue to be a presence in the heart of Paris for reaching out to non-believers as well as functioning as the ministry center for Trinity International Church. Our dream is to see us use this old Jazz club as a place of artistic outreach to the student and musician community in Paris. We also want to see Genesis be a center of Student ministry for Trinity which can be a model for the other AECM churches in Paris.

2. We want to reach and mobilize these young people from the local AECM churches to become the future leaders, pastors, and missionaries from France. Through training, gatherings, outreaches, etc., we will see young adults raised up for the task ahead of them.

3. Our desire is to create and provide a training center for university aged students to get cross-cultural experience, be trained in missions, and be inspired for a life-long commitment to cross-cultural service in France or around the world with the C&MA. This is a huge endeavor and would require added help and partnership with our C&MA team, but we believe that with God nothing is impossible.

How can YOU get involved?

Prayer:

Pray for wisdom and courage as we launch new ministry initiatives out of Genesis. Pray that this country and this city which are clearly in spiritual darkness would have a breakthrough of revival by the power of God’s Spirit.

Pray that we would continue to develop good relationships with our team members, our local French churches, and Trinity International Church.

Pray that God would send others in the future to help us take up the task of reaching young people with the power of Jesus.
